Review by Jennifer: Alex - I think you are missing the 'Profile' step. After you select your movie you want to change, you have to select the 'Profile' or what you want the movie encoded as...then click Encode...I missed the 'Profile' step when I first used the software too. But now that I know how to change the profile to the correct output file type, everything works OK. Good luck! (5/5 - 29-Aug-2008) Review by Alex: It does not do what it says, I have a dvd video (*.mpg format) and I cannot edit it with virtual dub because it is mpeg2 format. So I wanted to create an *.avi file from the original so as to be able to manipulate my video. This program has only ONE button --> "Encode" and no opptions for the output format or quality setting etc. The only thing it did was to take my original video and make a pure copy of it in the destination folder. 1 star from me cause it is free yet useless.
