Doesn't work, looks rather nasty too. I installed this and tried it, and it's actually a lot more work to use than just pressing the eject button on my CD Drive. You have to manually specify the Drive each time, and check a box to indicate whether to open or close it. But what's worse is that after I uninstalled it, it left a file called diskmxl.dll in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WBEM - which took over my WINLOGON.EXE process and was doing nonstop reads of my disk. Whether this is malicious I have no idea, but it looked very odd, and I had to run System Repair to get rid of it ... even my special 'Delete on Next Boot' utility couldn't get rid of this diskmxl.dll file. Approach with extreme caution. |
